Accountant (Jakarta, Indonesia)

 

As an Accountant you will have the crucial role of supporting strategy implementation and business decision making by continuously providing the management and other stakeholders with information on the financial position of the company. Your main priority will be ensuring timely submission of periodic reports in compliance with all relevant local and corporate financial regulations. In this position, you will directly report to the Managing Director.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Compile monthly, quarterly and annual P/L and B/S reports
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports according to local GAAP/ IFAS and ensure timely submission in compliance with Indonesian law
  • Proactively monitor and address deviations to the forecast
  • Participate in and prepare planning files for budgeting and strategy sessions
  • Conduct credit management routines
  • Manage local invoicing process
  • Oversee the implementation of credit policy
  • Ensure timely communication of receivables and statements of accounts to Sales Management
  • Track DSO and proactively address required actions towards Managing Director
  • Perform and manage all Indonesia tax entries, filings and documentation
  • Prepare tax computation and provisions in respect of Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT and others
  • Responsible for correct, transparent data entry of expenses and into standard accounting and controlling software
  • Ensure that bookings and transfers adhere to all relevant local, international and corporate transparency standards

 

Your profile:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting and Finance from a reputed university
  • 3+ years working experience in an accounting, controlling or tax consulting role, auditing experience is considered a plus
  • Conversant with Indonesia tax laws and statutory compliance
  • Well versed in using MS Office and SAP or other accounting software
  • Very good organizational skills and structured work approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Trustworthy, punctual and reliable person
  • Very good in Bahasa Indonesia and good command of English (verbally and written)
  • Provision of Certificate of Good Conduct
