Material Controller (Jakarta, Indonesia)

 

As a Material Controller at PERI you are responsible for analyzing and planning of material demands as well as for ensuring on-time availability of products. You act as an interface to internal and external customers as well as to third party providers and authorities to maintain reliable logistics operations.  By constantly optimizing the utilization of the rental park and cost-effective sourcing of material you are directly responsible for driving profitability. Being a member of a multinational and success driven team, you will report directly to the Managing Director.

 

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for material demand planning and sufficient material coverage aligned with local and corporate product strategy
• Perform material demand/ flow forecasting and performance reviews on a monthly and yearly basis and compile comprehensive reports
• Closely cooperate and coordinate with sales department to ensure timely booking of customer orders as well as deliveries and returns
• Entry, tracking and invoicing of customer orders and shipments
• Liaison with customers, shipping agents and customs authorities to prepare documentation for and proactively follow-up with material export and import
• Benchmark, actively steer and optimize rental park utilization and logistics KPIs
• Develop and proactively address measures to improve efficiency in operations and customer processes
• Facilitate intra-company material exchange program
• Ensure compliance with corporate processes and standards

 

Your profile:

• High school diploma required, degree in Finance, Logistics or related field preferred but not a must
• 3+ years working experience in logistics or finance
• Very good analytical and mathematical skills
• Very good knowledge MS Office suite and material management software
• Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Hands-on and problem-solving attitude
• Very good organizational skills and structured work approach
• Ability to liaise with people at all levels from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Goal-oriented, trustworthy and reliable person
• Very good in Bahasa Indonesia, good command of Bahasa Melayu and English (verbally and written) considered as an advantage
• Provision of Certificate of Good Conduct
