Material Controller (Singapore)

We are looking for a Material Controller to oversee all aspects of outgoing deliveries. The incumbent will be the key personnel to take charge in resolving problems that arise from daily operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, key deliverables include:

  • Maintain Customer Master Data, Article Master Data, as well as inventory in company ERP system.
  • Setting up orders in ERP according to contracts and in conjunction with Credit Manager.
  • Generating packing lists along with arranging and overseeing all aspects of outgoing deliveries including liaising with 3PL, production and material subsitution etc.
  • Checking material availability and taking proactive measures to resolve and prevent delivery problems.
  • Recording of stockyard material movements in ERP system with good understanding of consequential financial impacts.
  • Key personnel/Point of contact between all departments (Sales, Engineering, Finance and Logistics) and take charge in resolving problems that arise from daily operations.
  • Source, negotiate and continually review supplier agreements and document purchases.
  • Lead and guide the department for continuous process improvements.
  • Generating reports and retrieving documents such as materials availability, material movement, material on site, invoices etc.
  • Responsible for organizing and leading annual stocktake.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Your profile includes:

  • Min GCE O-level and above will be preferred but is not a barrier for the right candidate.
  • Preferably 2 years of logistics or order management experience in a similar business environment.
  • Suitable fresh graduate from Logistics or Engineering faculty are welcome to apply.
  • Proficient in Mircrosoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Fluent in English both oral and written. Mandarin speaking will be an advantage.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, both alone and in teams.
  • Possess strong numeric sense, structured thinking and organizational skill.
  • Good time management. Ability to manage time pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external parties.
