Sales Engineer (Jakarta, Indonesia)


As a Sales Engineer at PERI you are our face to the customer. Your main task is to define the right value proposition for the various customer groups and ensure continued full customer satisfaction for our local and international customers in various construction projects, such as high-rise, civil engineering or industrial construction. Being a member of a multinational and success driven team, you will report directly to the Sales Manager.


Main responsibilities:

  • Identify, validate and establish contact with potential customers and projects
  • Actively manage, develop and expand existing customer base
  • Transparently plan and forecast revenue
  • Establish profitable, sustainable and diversified revenue streams
  • Deliver against personal revenue plans
  • Define customer- or project-specific value propositions and include all relevant departments in the process
  • Prepare and deliver convincing presentations that highlight the benefits of PERI solutions
  • Advise on and consequently sell the right solution or product to customers
  • Cooperate closely and communicate effectively with other departments and functions
  • Prepare and present proposals and contracts
  • Conduct regular customer and jobsite visits and relay feedback to relevant departments
  • Assist the Finance Department in managing accounts receivable
  • Assist the Operations Department in coordinating deliveries and returns as well as claims
  • Maintain comprehensive records of existing and potential customers as well as influencing parties using PERI CRM solutions 
  • Monitor closely relevant developments at direct and indirect competitors and proactively communicate findings to Marketing and Management


Your profile:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or similar field from a reputed university
  • 3+ years working experience in sales in construction or related industry, proven track record
  • Very good knowledge MS Office suite, experience with AutoCAD and BIM software is a plus 
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and technical proficiency
  • Very strong negotiation skills and ambition to create value
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to articulate complex issues clearly and comprehendible
  • Very good organizational skills and structured work approach
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ambitious, trustworthy, goal-oriented and reliable person
  • Very good in Bahasa Indonesia, good command of Bahasa Melayu and English (verbally and written) considered as an advantage
  • Provision of Certificate of Good Conduct
